Our Story | Cakes for Independent Coffee Shops

Cake Club is a UK based cake supplier created for independent coffee shops who want better bakes without the hassle.

How it all began

Cake Club started with one simple truth: life’s too short for meh cake. Back in the day, Marco was happily brewing coffees and building communities in independent cafés. But while the coffee was top notch, the cakes were not.

Either they were eye wateringly expensive, the same cookie cutter bakes found in the big chains, or just plain underwhelming.

Marco wanted better — and so did coffee shops like his. So he teamed up with Lize, a seriously talented chef with Michelin starred credentials and a serious love of cake. Together, they dreamt up a collection of bakes that would turn every counter into a showstopper.

From a shared kitchen to centre stage

The early days were scrappy in the best way. A small, shared kitchen in Battersea. Marco juggling customer service, logistics and deliveries. Lize baking up a storm.

But word travels fast when the cake is this good. Soon Cake Club grew beyond its humble beginnings, partnering with a large bakery to keep up with demand while freeing up Lize to focus on developing her next delicious bakes.

A bigger team, the same sweet mission

As we grew, we welcomed Nicci to head up the Cakesecutives and help spread the cake love across the UK. Nicci and the team work closely with coffee shop owners and managers, building relationships and making sure every partner gets the support (and bakes) they need.

Kevin has now joined the business to head up the day to day operations, bringing a wealth of ecommerce experience and a proper passion for cake.

Today

Cake Club is still here for the independents. Still baking the good stuff. Still making life sweeter, one slice at a time.

Because good coffee deserves great cake. Always.
